Shelby at 13 months

Climbing onto everything!

Shelbs sleeping

I couldn't find Shelbs the other day...Then I look under the desk and she's hiding:)

This little girl is so adorable...even when she's a stinker. She is getting to be so much fun each day, more and more. Her favorite thing to do is Peek-a-Boo. I love it bcause she's always hiding behind something and then peeks around with a huge grin. She laughs a ton and loves to play. The only time she's a turd is a church. She's so loud squawking (sp) all the time...hopefully that can stop soon.
She loves to sleep...I had to take this cute photo of her napping in her crib. Also she's into everything now, this is my first child that has been this way so it is new for me. She's climbing into anything she can and is crying cuz she's stuck between chairs and bar stools, etc. Here she is ON my computer shelf.
Love the girl!!

Weekend with my Dad

Kam showing off her skateboard skills...no fear!

Lexi riding the skooter down the drive. We are working on no training wheels for the bike. She's real close, just a bit of a pansie! haha

The sweet new ride...wish is was MY sweet new ride :)

My Dad and I

Grandpa and the Grandkids

Jeremy and Blair had their baby on Wednesday 9-9-09...Crew Demar Burns. Im sad I haven't seen him yet but I've been talking to Jer alot and I think they're doing ok with the first time parent stuff :)
My dad went to see them and the baby on Thursday and then drove up here to spend the weekend with us and show off the new CAMERO!!
We had a great time with him and the girls loved riding in the fast car. It was funny to watch my dad cleaning the car every free moment and keeping the kids a good 5 ft from the car at all times. :) haha
I think my dad had quite the weekend with three loud kids running around and no cable tv....but its good for him and we love him. Thanks for coming dad...Happy birthday!!!!!!

FaMiLy PiCtUrEs 2009

About 6 weeks ago we did family photos while we were in Preston for Rodeo weekend. Amber's friend Jenda took them. I thought they turned out WAY cute! She did an awesome job and the railroad tracks were such a cute idea. I got the idea of 'walking down the rr tracks with the girls' from a blog I came across...I just had to do that photo. Jeremy and Blair had their baby yesterday: Crew Demar Burns. I'm thinking he's got to be a cutie but wouldn't know since NO ONE in my family has sent me a picture yet!! :(

Mom had been wanting an updated photo since Jer's been home, but Amber and I didn't want to do one last summer b/c we were both prego, then I didn't want Shelbs to be a scrunched up baby, Jer got married, and then Blair was prego. So these are cute, but we'll need another one with baby Crew. I guess this is what happens with a growing family :)

recent update

The good thing about this vacum is that the girls love to use it. Yes, instant slave!! :)

Can you tell it was windy up there? haha

Lexi is already practicing cheerleader moves!

Life has been crazy this last two weeks. Lexi started school and it's been busy. Lexi was so excited to learn what a 'weekend' means and wanted to go do something fun on Saturday...so we drove up to TableRock, I haven't been there since a freshman in college. The girls that it was soo awesome, and Lexi wasn't a bit scared of the cliffs...which of course made US scared! :)

Canning has begun!! It's been fun, but exhausting. I canned with Emily and her friend one day, then Ashley and I took two days and did our peaches, then my friend Rosie came over yesterday to learn. I started on my pears, but still have more to do. I squeezed in a few jars of tomatoes as well...my first by myself. I'm ready to be done...my house is trashed because of canning all week. So I'm taking a 'lazy' day today to catch up on laundry and some cleaning. Which is kinda easy b/c my suburban is having issues and wont start, so I don't have a car. The orchard knows me pretty well now since the guy had to jump me not once, but TWICE...two different times I was up there...I was embarrassed!

Catch up on the family:

Mike: has been going thru alot of changes at work, so he's been real busy. But things are going real well and blow-out season is going to come before we know it.

me: busy canning and being mom. I'm working on the primary program we have next month. it's taking alot of time, and can't wait to have it complete.

Lexi: has been emotional lately. I think school has worn her out. She loves riding the bus and her teacher and friends. She has always had to empty the dishwasher when asked, but I've been on a good schedule lately so she does it after school almost every day. Then I found out yesterday that she can take the trash out and she enjoyed it so she said 'mom, that can be my new chore!' well I was ALL over that!!! :) She's also learned to make her own toast...which is funny b/c she sits there with her ears plug waiting for the toast to POP up, and she jumps everytime.

Kamree: is being such a good girl. I think she's really needed this one on one time with me. She's needed to find her individuality and not always 'kam and lexi' as one. She has picked up on some funny words and says some really big ones. She keeps us laughing and is so comical.

Shelby: is getting real big! She's is standing up to things and walking along them all the time. The girls keep asking "when is she going to walk?" She is so funny and loves when we laugh at her. She knows how to communicate well know...its mainly thru screaming. A lady on the radio the other day screamed, then shelby screamed back. it's like this thru sacrament with other babies as well...hopefully she'll learn words in replacement to the screams soon! :)

Lexi's first day of school

Lexi's classroom

Liv and Kamree wanted some pictures too
*****

Lexi had her first day of Kindergarten today. I can't believe how fast the last 5 yrs have flown by. It makes me kind of sad :(

Ashley was soo good to me today and came to babysit the little ones so I could go with Lexi to school. Thank you so much Ashley, you're awesome!!
We had orientation and learned what Lexi would be doing in her classroom. I didn't cry (surprising) but I think it's b/c I was with her the whole time. Tomorrow I leave her, and she wants to take the bus. This is going to be alot harder for me.
It's helping that Lexi is not scared one bit...she is loving it and is sooo ready. She has been real excited about riding the bus, recess, and wearing her new school clothes. She also told me that tomorrow she is going to sit at the 'girl' table instead of by the boys we did today....oh boy, here we go! ;)
(everytime I ask Kam what we're going to do when Lexi goes to school she says "Shelby's going to walk". I think at some point I told her Shelby would be walking after lexi started school...it's just not coming fast enough for Kam. lol)

My daughter's 'cleaning' skills

I made the girls clean up the downstairs last night before getting ready for bed. Kamree's job was to get all the shoes put away. When I went to check on her, this is what I found. I had to laugh...looks like I need another shoe basket! haha
I love 2 yr olds :)

Happy Birthday Shelby

Birthday morning pictures

We celebrated Shelby's 1st birthday this weekend! I took lots of pics because I'm determined to have photos of my 3rd child :)
It was a busy day of running around before Amber and Mom got into town for the weekend. We ended up spending like an hour and a half in Target, pushing off the birthday party...Target is so fun though. It's the first thing we did when they got here :)
So we got home around 6:30 and Shelby desperately needed a nap to be happy for the party. We had dinner late around 7ish and then I was hurrying to get the cake put together...I tried a butterfly cake, it was fun...but we ran out of purple frosting. Shelby is my first baby to really dive into her cake, I was sooo happy for this moment :)
Then after cleaning up and bath time, we remembered we forgot presents. I couldn't let her open them a day late...so around 9:00 we did gifts, though she wasn't interested much.
The other kids were though...isn't that funny how that works out? :)

Happy Birthday Shelbs...we love you soo much and love having you in our family!!

She makes us laugh and still crawls around funny. She loved riding in her new carseat this weekend, and so did all the other kids :)
She only says "da-da" all the time, it's a word for everything. We still are trying to figure the milk thing out, she's not taking to anyting too well. She sleeps soo well and loves to eat. She's a happy baby and loves attention...also loves to squeal.
