Shelby's 3rd Birthday

Shelby turned 3 in August!! She is getting to be such a big girl - and just in time so she can help with her new baby brother. Shelby's birthday fell on a Sunday - and I had to speak in church, so it was kind of a stress weekend. But we celebrated on Sunday evening before I had to go to a fireside. And then we had our friends the Kessinger's over after the fireside for extra cake we had.

We didn't get too many photos because the battery was dead on our camara. (I guess maybe there is a little bit of truth to the whole '3rd kid doesn't have pictures like the 1st kid does' saying). Mike has some pictures on his I-phone, but I have yet to figure that thing out.

Shelby wanted a PINK birthday - she she had a pink/yellow cake, pink table cloth, pink wrapping paper, pink decor and balloons, and so on. She also wanted Tangled - she she had Tangled plates and a Tangled cup (which she loves).

She got a new church outfit, some pj's, and some toys. Grandma Burns and Grandma Dean sent her some $. She loved having her own 'cash' because she's always seen her older sisters carry it around. She carried that money with the birthday cards for over a week.

G&G Tondini sent her some princess dress up and G&G Pete Pete sent her pink popcorn (this was another pink item she had been asking for).

Shelby got booted from her room for the baby nursery - but she was ok with it because she wants to give everything to her brother. We have her in our guest room while we are trying to figure out what arrangement to do with bedrooms.

Shelby talks so cute - something about the way she says things. She also has quiet the personality - she laughs so easily and always says 'sorry' and 'thanks'. She loves to jump on the trampoline and actually holds her own real well with the big girls. She always picks her own clothes out and is very opinionated about what to wear. She's good at putting away her clothes as well, thanks to watching her older sisters.

She always says 'I love...' or 'I hate...' and is very much so in love with her daddy. She talks about him all the time and always says "I love daddy" thru out the day. She calls Kamree 'Kams' and it's seriously the cutest thing. She has to be part of everything going on and wants to go anywhere that anyone else is. We can't leave the house without her freaking out cuz she wants to go.

She also mixes her alphabet and numbers in a song - it's so cute that I just can't bring myself to teach her the correct way yet. I need to get a video up soon of her singing it.

"A B C D H and 9...10 little ghosts go boo!" She also counts to 10 - ALWAYS skipping the number 5, she just can't seem to squeeze that number in there :)

Watching her grow up so quick and learning so many new things, it makes me sad she is already 3. I'm glad to be having another baby to fill her shoes in a way because our family just isn't complete yet. Our girls are so excited for their baby brother to come home and will be very good helpers. Shelby is already to be a little mama to him. I hope their connection they have already will continue thru their life.

Potty Training!!!!

**Brag Notice**

Miss Shelby is ROCKING it at the potty! After having two kids already go thru potty training, I knew that Shelby would let us know when she was ready. Although she took a few months longer than our others, she has done FabUleSsLy!!

She started being interested and doing pretty good a few weeks ago. But we did a trip to Elko for a week and I was down a lot on the couch with this pregnancy - so I was lazy and would do diapers here and there. Then it hit me last week - how is she suppose to know when to pee and not pee if it's ok with a diaper on? So I went to only panties all day, and she did great.

So I braved it last friday and we were out all day with panties and NO accidents!! So we continued with Saturday - soccer game, 1hr car ride to Grandma and Grandpa's, hot dog roast with family...still no accidents! She even made it thru church on Sunday.

I'm soo proud of this girl - she's had no accidents in 5 days, and is going by herself. She's a cutie when she does it because she is so proud of herself. I love how grown up she is getting - she's becoming independent, but still likes to "hold me". We're very excited about having no diapers for a few months before the baby comes.

She is obviously still in diapers for bedtime, and we're working on the pooping. She's done it in the potty once, but other times are in her diaper at bedtime. We've also moved her to a 'big bed' so she can get up to go potty - but she rarely sleeps in it, she stills begs for her crib. :)

a few cute things Shelby says:

*"a self" - for doing potty herself. She wants to wipe herself and this is a frustrating battle.

*"helpy" - this is when she wants to help with something, or needs help with something. I will admit, Mike and I love it - so yes, we encourage it and say it ourselves because she's so cute.

*"I peed!" - this comes before AND after going potty. It scared us at first because we thought she already we her pants...but it was her way of saying she needed to go. She also says it after she goes to anyone who is around b/c she is so excited.

*"roni" - this is how she says pepperoni w/o saying pepper.

"I wanna hold you" - this is my favorite. when she wants us to hold her she asks to hold us.

I was real excited when I was showering and she came upstairs to my bathroom to get a stool and went back downstairs to go potty herself - also she was playing outside with Kam and came inside to make it to the potty. I'm telling ya, this girl is a star and I'm soo proud of her.

Shelby's Birthday!

Good morning on your birthday!!

Shelby had her 2nd birthday this weekend!! We can't believe how big she is getting - it has gone by sooo fast. She has such a fun and spunky personality...she always keeps us laughing.

Her latest thing is to yell "MAMAAAA" until I look and then she jabbers something to me or points at something with a smile. I love when we watch a movie at the theatre and she says "mama" and hits my arm repeatedly until I say "what?" then she points at the huge screen. What a cutie!!

On Sunday when we did cake she was sick and cranky, didn't feel good at all. So you'll see in the picture her super cute outfit I got her - and the sad sad face :(

She has moved into a toddler bed and loves it, she even stays in it! score!! she doesn't want anything to do with the potty yet. we've sat her on a few times, but she only stays on for 10 secs.

and everyone is asking: NO ............. I'm not pregnant :) It seems weird to not be - but we are loving the stages the girls are in right now....its a lot of fun!!

CHEEEESSSE!!

Whenever Shelby sees a camara she says "CHEEEESSSE!" ah - she's a cutie!! (and yes, she's always a mess!)

Nailpolish - oh my!

Kam came up to me one day and said "Mom, she took the lid off" and I thought "yeah yeah, I'll get to her"...thinking she had a pen.

Well I discovered that Shelby had OPENED a bottle of nailpolish on her own and painted it on her lips, hands, and dumped it down her jammies (of which are my absolute fav. pair and should have been boxed up by now b/c their too small).

I freak out - trying to figure out how to save the jammies. No such luck after a long day of trying numerous methods :( so I get Shelby washed up and clean. and just say to myself "well at least it was just the jammies and no where else".

Then later that night I discover nailpolish in a big area in the girls' room. I panic and get online to find some remedies. WINDEX - worked pretty good. got maybe 85% out, so I just snipped the tips of the rest. The next day I find in on our little kid recliner - oh man! oh well I can only do soo much. (I'm suprised it's made it this long without any damage) haha.

My fabulous friend Emily let me cut some vinyl on her cricket last week. We found these way cute owls that I thought would be PERFECT with Shelby's bedding. It fun to finally have some stuff on the walls in her room. I think I've given up on painting her wall green, I'm just not motivated enough...it's alot of work. I still have some way cute trees I need to get up, and some little tweet birds. I think it's gonna be awesome! :)

I couldn't find Shelbs the other day...Then I look under the desk and she's hiding:)

This little girl is so adorable...even when she's a stinker. She is getting to be so much fun each day, more and more. Her favorite thing to do is Peek-a-Boo. I love it bcause she's always hiding behind something and then peeks around with a huge grin. She laughs a ton and loves to play. The only time she's a turd is a church. She's so loud squawking (sp) all the time...hopefully that can stop soon.

She loves to sleep...I had to take this cute photo of her napping in her crib. Also she's into everything now, this is my first child that has been this way so it is new for me. She's climbing into anything she can and is crying cuz she's stuck between chairs and bar stools, etc. Here she is ON my computer shelf.

We celebrated Shelby's 1st birthday this weekend! I took lots of pics because I'm determined to have photos of my 3rd child :)

It was a busy day of running around before Amber and Mom got into town for the weekend. We ended up spending like an hour and a half in Target, pushing off the birthday party...Target is so fun though. It's the first thing we did when they got here :)

So we got home around 6:30 and Shelby desperately needed a nap to be happy for the party. We had dinner late around 7ish and then I was hurrying to get the cake put together...I tried a butterfly cake, it was fun...but we ran out of purple frosting. Shelby is my first baby to really dive into her cake, I was sooo happy for this moment :)

Then after cleaning up and bath time, we remembered we forgot presents. I couldn't let her open them a day late...so around 9:00 we did gifts, though she wasn't interested much.

The other kids were though...isn't that funny how that works out? :)

Happy Birthday Shelbs...we love you soo much and love having you in our family!!

She makes us laugh and still crawls around funny. She loved riding in her new carseat this weekend, and so did all the other kids :)

She only says "da-da" all the time, it's a word for everything. We still are trying to figure the milk thing out, she's not taking to anyting too well. She sleeps soo well and loves to eat. She's a happy baby and loves attention...also loves to squeal.

Shelby's 11 months!

Shelby turned 11months this week....she's such a cutie. This last week or so has been so fun with her. She's changing everyday.

We can actually put her down now and cook/clean/leave she doesn't scream for us...this is a huge peace for us :)

Here is a list of some stuff she's doing:

* enjoys crawling around, even on grass

* follows the girls around and wants to be where they are

* still hobbles along for a crawl, dragging the right leg. It looks like she may have gotten a rug burn on that leg :(

* has no interest in standing or pulling herself up on furniture

* loves to eat

* hates to lay down for diaper changes, it has to be a quick process or she crawls off real fast

* still has only the 2 bottom teeth, the top two look like they'll break thru soon. I really could go for LESS drool!

Baby Shelby at 10 months

Shelby is 10 months and is becoming very active. Last week she started crawling, it's this cute skoot she does with one leg. She also started clapping a couple of weeks ago. She now can get into many things...so the girls are working on keeping 'little stuff' off the floor. I'm in that stage of life again where the floor is to be vacummed and swept ALL the time, it seems like I just got out of this stage with Kamree :).

Shelbs seems to be entertained more easily now, which is nice. The girls love playing with her. Shelbs loves being on the baby swing out on the swing set and the girls enjoy pushing her. She seems to always want to eat...real food that is. She has no interest in her bottle anymore. She absolutely loves lasagana (I think it's because I'm such a great cook...kidding!) She likes appleasauce, yogurt, and oatmeal. But I love giving her finger foods, its much easier. She likes: veggies, fruits, crackers, pasta, and chicken. The down fall to the finger foods...what a MESS! Her is a cute video of her covered in food, pulling some funny faces. What a cutie!

Shelby Welby ... 9 months

**Shelby Lynn**

Shelbs is 9 months...she weighs in at 18 pds and is 27 1/4 inches! She is getting soo big, soo fast. She loves: to squeal, laugh, smile, play with her sisters, chew on her binky, slobber, sleep, eat Grham crackers, have her bottle, and sleep more!

Shelbs likes to kick her legs and fling her arms around. She loves her jumperoo. She gets going crazy in that thing!

She is such a different baby then in the earlier months. She is soo happy every time I get her out of her crib. She cries every time I leave her sight, which is real annoying....but she's a cutie and we love her!

Her bottom teeth look like they maybe finally coming in. She will get on her knees and rock, but no crawling or scooting yet. She is real content to just sit and be entertained. I guess it's kinda nice not having her into stuff, I'm sure that time will come quick enough.

Every time Kamree says a prayer, she says "thank you for Shelbs bein happy and not sad" It's the cutest thing. I guess even Kam remembers the colic stage! LOL
