Little Miss "Smarty-Pants"

*I wanted to get the girls on video talking about random things...so here are some dang cute videos of Lexi. One is of her talking about school, she can say The Pledge of Allegiance. The other one is her telling me how she wants to be a Fashion Designer, she seriously made this all up herself! (Look for her clothes line in about 20 years!)

Mike and I have always spelled things out in front of the girls when we don't want them to know what we're talking about (who hasn't, right?). Well last night we were asking her if she knew what some of them were, and to our surprise this is what she said:
us: what is M-O-V-I-E?
Lexi: movie
us: B-E-D?
Lexi: bed
us: P-O-P?
Lexi: pop
us: M-D?
Lexi: mountain dew
us: D-P?
Lexi: (didn't know this one, it's dr.pepper)
us: P-double O-P (this is Mike's thing)
Lexi: pee (we just laughed, cuz pretty close!)
We couldn't believe that she knew most of them, she quickly responded without hesitation. We do spell these words often, guess we'll be learning some piglatin!! :)

Sisters having FUN!

Lexi and Kamree were playing 'House' and Kam found a Binky. She thought she was pretty funny putting it in her mouth.

Yesterday the girls and I were playing around and next thing I know, Kam is sitting on Lexi's head. I couldn't stop laughing and ran to get my camara b/c this soo reminded me of amber and me when we were younger. She'd always be sitting on me and I could only get her off by wrapping my legs around her head.

(by the way, Kam's pants are missing cuz she was suppose to go down for a nap...she's not always running around 1/2 naked! LOL)

I then was teaching the girls 'Simon Says' which was hilarious!! I told the girls to stand on one leg, Kam was trying to put her leg out in front of her which gave her no balance. Then I said to hop on one leg. You should have seen the frustration on Kam's face. She couldn't figure it out and would yell "I can't do it!" so she went to the wall and tried to balance while hopping. She's adorable.

Shelby is sick :(

I took Shelby Welby in to the Doctor today and found that she has an ear infection. My poor baby :( That explains the rough nights we've been having. Here is a picture of her when she was actually SLEEPING, she always has her arms up by her head like this. So cute!!

She weighed in at 15 pds 8 ounces today.

All three of the girls are sick. It's been a rough couple of days around here. The other day Lexi said to Mike "Dad, remember when I was two or three and you asked if I wanted a blessing and I said no?" Lexi then said "maybe you could give me a blessing now". So precious!! So of course Mike gave her a blessing and Kamree too. Lexi looked over to Kamree and said "it's like when we were babies and dad gave us a blessing". She was so sure and proud of it.

The girls have been feeling MUCH better and Kam's fever is gone. Now we're just dealing with the coughs. But Lexi is amazing at coughing in her elbow, thanks to a lesson on germs in pre-school. And Kam is real good about coughing into her hand. I just keep reminding them not to touch Shelbs face and to wash our hands often (of course they love this part b/c it means time to play in water!).

Shelby is 6 months!!! I seriously don't know where the time has gone. It seems like she joined our family just days ago...but I have honestly lived day to day....hoping each one would come faster so she'd get out of this 'crabby' stage. Well 6 months later she's still a fussy, crabby, cranky baby. But she has gotten better, and so have we.

The girls love her soo much. She loves to be entertained and can now sit up for a little bit, so Kam really gets a kick out of that.

Shelby loves attention and has the cutest smile, when she's not crying. She loves to grab her foot and stuff it clear in her mouth. Kind of a pain while trying to change her bum :)

Amber and Kelly came this weekend! We had soo much fun and it was great to see Mckoy! He is the cutest baby, we couldn't get enough of him. We played the Wii ALL weekend long and we're up late everynight. We had to make the most of our time together. We also had a fun little Valentine Dinner by candlelight. After weekends like this I wish we could see them alot more often. It was a great weekend...Thank you guys for coming! :)

Kelsie and Joe also came out for dinner and some Wii time on Sunday. It was fun to have them over to hang out...come out more often!!

Last snow on the block!!

So ever since Mike made snowmen with the girls...it's been this contest to see how long our snow would last. All he wanted was to still have snow in our yard after the rest of the street had melted. Well, today Mike's wish came true! :) It was so warm and sunny and hit everywhere....except for this little piece on our front yard. So here is all that is left from our snowman. Now that he won....bring on the sunshine and SpRiNg!!!!! :)

my friend "Nose Sucker"

This is "Nose Sucker". I can't get Kamree to BLOW her nose. When I say "blow" she sucks it back up. It is SOO frustrating b/c I can't get the snot out. So after days and days of runny noses...I thought of "Nose Sucker". I did it yesterday, and have been using it as a threat ever since.
Just now I said "Kam your nose is bad, do you want me to wipe it?"
She said yes, but I couldn't get her to blow it. "I can't do it mommy" she said. So I said "you want me to get the sucker?"
she said "No mommy I dont wan it!"
I then went to get "Nose Sucker" and she was crying. But then I did it and she smiled, "It feels better mommy! Do this side."
And that my friends is the power of the "Nose Sucker"! :)

Much to Blog about!!!

I have been real bad at blogging! I have traded one addiction for another :)

1.) For the last week, I have spent nearly everyday at Albertsons! There was soo many good deals with them doubling coupons that I just couldn't stop stocking up! So this picture here is only of one day. By the end of the week I had spent $26.00 and saved $251.00 ...yippee!!

there was much much more as well. but now the sale if over, finally! :) so I can go about my somewhat normal life!

2.) Amber and her family are coming to spend the holiday weekend with us! We are soo very excited. The girls can't wait to see Mckoy!! (and neither can I! I love this little boy soo much). So we've been cleaning to get the house ready. So I put Lexi to work on the living room while I did the kitchen. Surprisingly, she had it all cleaned up. I was very impressed and so I turned the corner to go upstairs to get the vacuum and...TADA...the whole mess reappeared. Yes it was all piled nicely in the corner. So here is a picture of Lexi's pile. I guess at least its all together now in one spot, that makes in easier :)

3.) We've been into American Idol this season. I'm letting Lexi watch it every week b/c she loves singing and really enjoys watching the contestants. So the other day we were singing and messing around and she said "you're good, you're going to Hollywood!" So now we play these fun little spurts of American Idol. We get a stage and microphone and sing. At the end, we all make it to Hollywood....yes, even me! :) Which reminds me of a story. A couple of weeks ago Lexi and I were driving into Boise and we were rocking out to Taylor Swift (our favorite!). When the song was off, I sang it with out the music.

Lexi said "Mom dont sing that way, sing it like Taylor"

me: "What you don't think I sound good?"

lexi: "well you sound like your sick or something"

oh how sweet, even my little girl knows I cant sing! :) LOL

4.) Shelby is still making us confused. I can't tell you how many websites and books I've read trying to investigate this little girl!! So she was horrible for 2 weeks, making me wonder if she was REALLY allergic to dairy b/c I haven't given her anything differently. But now she's been fine for a week. Whatever!

She is playing with her feet all the time, she's getting to be fun and active. The girls love to make her laugh. She also loves splashing in the tub. I'm finally starting some baby food and rice cereal. The Dr. told me to wait til we find out whats going on with her, but she seems to be okay and enjoys the baby food. She'll be 6 months this weekend so more to come...

5.) Also it was Mike's Birthday yesterday. Unfortunately we were both not feeling well and were very tired. So we hit Golden Corral for dinner (which sucked b/c I had to pay $5 for Lexi, who eats nothing but rolls and croutons!). Then we came home and had the kids in bed by 7pm and we watched TV in bed. We'll celebrate more this weekend I'm sure! :)

Sick weekend

So I have been fighting this little 'mucus bugger' all weekend! Thursday I woke up with a tickly cough that bugged all day, I think it has never really left me since Christmas time. Friday and Saturday I was worse. Sunday there was no way I was gonna go to church hacking and blowing my nose for 3 hours, plus Shelby's now is sick. Monday I had Mike stay home to take care of the kids so I could rest. (there needs to be a 'mom-is-sick' fairy to visit our homes when us moms are down) Kirk told me to take Musinex, so Monday evening we went out to get some along with Tylenol PM. WOW!! I feel better. I got alot of the junk out (gross, i know) and slept well. I still don't feel the best, but hey...I got my house back to normal! yea :)

So my two-cents here is: try Musinex, it's the only medicine that has helped me in the last 5 days!! Now if we could just find out what is wrong with Shelby...
