Trick or Treat, smell my feet, give me something good to eat!!

We had our "Trunk or Treat" last night. We had so much fun dressing the girls up! Kamree was a pumpkin...she even let me paint her face. She loved every minute of it. Mike and I were laughing at her the whole time, it brought back some memories of when Lexi was that age. Lexi has wanted to be a variety of things so last night she was a fairy. We painted her nails sparkly and put glitter on her. She clammed up during the trunk or treat part and was too close to tears. Halloween has never been her thing. Today was her Halloween party at preschool. She went as a cowgirl. She was way cute and as you can tell in the pictures, a great poser! She wore my belt buckle and carried her hobby horse around. I was even able to find a pink squirt gun to add to the costume. Lexi really wanted to be Hannah Montana and I just can't bring myself to do it, so when we showed up to the trunk or treat and her friend was Hannah Montana she thought that was way neat. We still have one more night of costume fun coming up...we'll see what costumes we can come up with next! Im hoping Mike will pull out the Mullet again!

Shelby's Blessing

We had Shelby's Blessing this weekend. It went really well and we had lots of fun with family. Friday was spent all day at the mall looking for dresses for Jeremy's wedding. It was successful for my mom and the girls, but not me or Amber.
We loved having everyone here and Shelby looked so beautiful in her Blessing gown!

Sunday before church, Kam just came up to Mike and layed on him. It was soo cute. I love moments like this!

Here is my AWESOME bargain from the weekend! I got this way cute sling for $3 at a yard sale!! yay :) I was so excited I ran immediatly to Emily to show it off. Later that day at Kohls, I found my cute jeans that I've been wanting on the clearance rack, $8! Yipee...what a great day. (except the pants are a bit tight, we wont go there though :()

Gardening Skills

This year was our first garden and I do not advise planting one while being eight and nine months prego!! It was hard for me to keep up the weeding, then I had Shelby and REALLY let the garden go! It became a game to us to see how big everything would get. So when my dad was here this weekend I had him dig up my carrot I'd been waiting on and here it is! I'm sure it would win some kind of contest!! But this was my trial year, now I know what to plant, what not to, how much, and to really plant things three feet apart when it says to on the package...there is a reason! :)

During dinner Shelby was crying (this is an every night thing!) so I look to Kamree and she's just sitting there with her ears covered. She's done this before in the car as well.

Yesterday I gave the girls cereal and ran upstairs to change Shelby's bum, when I got back down this is what I found. I swear this girl is a mess ALL THE TIME! She does the craziest things and is into EVERYTHING. I figured I should take a picture because after if was picked up I would laugh about it. Kam is so cute and fun right now, I love this age. But she's been a wild one lately, very demanding, independent, and stubburn. She knows now though that the blue chair is time out and its kinda cute to see her pout all the way to it, thats about the only thing she's obedient at. :)

Thanks to my wonderful friend Emily, I was able to can applesauce! It was extremly messy but fun to do. (Im still a bit bummed about my peaches not being as tasty as last years) Maybe next year I'll try to conquer Pears!(

Shelby is 2 months old now! I can't believe how fast its going by. I took her in for her shots and she was 10pds. I spoke with the dr. about her 'fussy personality' and he said she has some colic, it should go away in the next month or so. The last few nights have been ruff with her. I cant wait til shes sleeping more than 5 hrs. Im dragging most days, but was able to nap yesterday cuz Shelby slept ALL DAY after her shots. It was kinda nice.

Gummy Bear

Here is a video the girls love to watch on youtube. They ask for 'gummy bear'. Today Kam was watching it and the bear shakes his bum...Kam said "he need a diaper on". I just laughed. Sometimes I wish others could hear some of the stuff she says, it cracks me up!!

Dance show

Lexi and I with our mommy/daughter night. We went to see BYU's Ballroom dance team. It was way fun and Lexi loved it.
We also met up with Grandma, Kim and her kids, and Ashley. Lexi and Jenna loved the outfits and music. The show had 'technical difficulties' for 45 minutes so we had had good times yakking until the show finally started! :)

Today after church, Mike and I were in the kitchen getting food ready. Next thing we see, Lexi and Kam like this! It was hillarious...Lexi put Kam in a laundry basket with a ton of blankets on her "making her snuggly cuz its a cold winter day" lexi said. She also has a washcloth on her head for a "hat". Lexi then took some ribbon to make a rope that she pulled her around with. Every winter we have put the girls in a basket and pulled them around the snow, since we've never gotten around to getting a sleigh. I think this is where Lexi got the idea. They had some good laughs with this today!

Bunco

So I went to get Kam yesterday and this is what I found..."I wet mommy, diaper off mommy". Could she just potty train already! :)

So Bunco was at my house last night and after having a crazy week: cleaning like crazy and cooking (which I dont enjoy)...guess how many came??? FIVE!!! yea I was a bit upset! But it ended up okay because we just sat and gabbed for hours and then drew names for the prizes. Pretty fun cuz we all went home with something!

This weekend my brother decided him and his fiance would come for a visit. I was so excited to spend sometime with him. He got home from his mission the end of May and so we haven't been able to spend much time together with our hectic summer. We just did alot of hanging out, eating, and watching movies since the weather was rainy. We had a great time and the girls enjoyed having their Uncle around. Lexi wouldn't leave him alone!!
