"Shelby-Welby" is 4 months old!!

Shelby turned FOUR months old this week. It has been a long, crazy road. After four months of lots of crying and wondering what is going on with her...we find a solution. The doctor said she may be allergic to dairy. So me (being a lover of cheese) decided there was no way I could give up dairy...so I had to give up nursing :( It's funny how when they tell you that you can't do it anymore, you just want to do it more. So Wednesday we gave Shelby the 'special' formula the dr. gave us to try. SUCCESS! She doesn't cry and scream anymore. I am so glad for her AND our family because we don't have to be sad for her anymore. We are still quite busy, but just with a calmer baby that can be put down. It has been kinda nice. Besides the fact that the formula STINKS so incredibly bad. I'm serious!! Shelby stinks, I stink, everything smells of this nastiness. I'm hoping to find a different kind that will maybe not stink quite so bad. (I think it smells like dog food, Mike says it's like fertilizer, I'd have to say either one is real yucky) :) So besides having to stop nursing instantly, we are very content. We'll see how our holidays go with a 'calm' baby, 'potty-trained' toddler, and 'excited about christmas' four year old! We have some busy days planned but it should all be way fun!

Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!!

I figured out the video thing...enjoy!!

My BIG girl...Kamree!!

Wow it has been a crazy 3 weeks!! The week of Thanksgiving I decided to give Kamree a chance at wearing some panties. She just turned 2 and I really didn't think much would come from it, little did I know this would start her success run of potty training! She turned into a big girl over night and when we came home from Jeremy's wedding she was pretty set. She tells us when she needs to go, sometimes she's already climb up to the big potty herself.
I made her wear a pull-up to church yesterday, scared of what may happen in nursery with me not there. But it stayed dry all day, only problem now is taking her potty and getting her to go BACK to nursery...yikes!
We are struggling with going #2. Kam has always been such a private person when it comes to this one, that going on the potty brings even more attention. She's gone twice on the potty without us even knowing until she's came and said "I pooped". But other times have been in her pull-up during sleep time, this is nothing new for her since this is her usual routine.
She throws a fit at nap time when I make her put on a pull-up, but I know she's not ready to wears panties through a nap yet, nor am I willing to clean up any of those mess, or do more laundry than I already do! :)
So with the potty training came another idea...Since she's been successful with going potty...we should move her to the toddler bed so she can get out to go potty. Success here as well!! yippee! Kamree has surprised us with how fast she's growing up. I really didn't want to let the crib go since this is my sanity time: caging my toddler! :) But she is doing so well. She naps and sleeps at night in her big bed. She doesn't even get out and wander around, she yells for us to come get her and take her potty.
I love this girl, she's so adorable and entertaining. I love how independent she is and how determined she is aswell. She has the cutest personality and I just want to squeeze her.

my brother's wedding

We went home to Preston for the weekend. Jeremy and Blair had their wedding on Saturday. The wedding turned out nice and decorated way cute, plus we had delicious chicken cordon bleu. Lexi was the only flower girl b/c Kamree wouldn't do it. I guess she's still too young :(
Lexi looked so cute standing up there, but a little boring for a 4year old I guess b/c she kept playing with her dress, her flower basket, her hands, and yawned a bunch. so funny and entertaining to watch! :)
All three girls looked cute in their dresses though. And I finally found a dress last minute, at Motherhood of all places! haha
Shelby cried alot during the dinner and Kam came down with a really bad fever, so Mike and I held them both all night...we were ready to go home and be in bed after a LONG day.
Thursday I went shopping with my mom and Shelby, who cried most the time that day as well. Mom and Rob took me out for my birthday to El Sols, one of my fav places to eat. We then had the rehersal later that night and AGAIN went to El Sols to eat. Kinda ironic that that is where Jer and Blair wanted to eat, but it gave me a chance to try something new and different on the menu b/c I always order the same thing! Friday Mike was able to tile Amber and Kelly's bathroom so they are a bit closer to being finished! We then played Guitar Hero and Rockband during any spare time including staying up late to fit it in!! It was soo much fun!! Shelby was a handful all weekend. I dont know what is up with her lately but she cries ALL the time. My patience was maxed out all weekend.
My birthday was yesterday, so we spent most of it traveling, which kinda sucked. But the girls and Mike made me a cake tonight, gave me a 'foot bath' and bought me roses! Plus I got a body massage and a hot bath tonight!! so nice!!
I got some great gifts from the family: braclet watch, Taylor Swift CD, money (Im still on the hunt for the right Hooker Boots), foot lotions, and a way cute gift from my dad that I can't mention b/c Amber is getting the same for her bday next month! :)
Mike and I will be going out for dinner later in the week to redeem my birthday burger from Red Robin, oh yeah baby!!
