Update on this baby boy of ours...

I had been in a lot of discomfort and pain for over a week and stayed down on the couch all week long. I didn't bother calling the Dr. because I knew he would just tell me to be on bedrest. So I

went in on Tuesday for my Dr. appt to have him check me and we confirmed that this baby boy of ours is BREECH :( I didn't know quiet what this meant or what to expect - but I learned real fast that this is the reason for all the pain and discomfort I've been in for the pregnancy. I also learned I was about to face options and emotional feeling I had never thought of before.

I learned I had basically two options: 1) schedule a C-section or 2) try to flip this baby. So I went with the 2nd option and left the office crying. I was very overwhelmed with all the new news I was trying to process. I've always had such easy pregnancies and deliveries - now I was learning just how lucky and rare that is.

Mike's mom came in and stayed with the girls and Mike and I had to go into Labor and Delivery and be checked in by 6pm. I was hooked up to an IV (poked twice, it hurt b/c she went thru the first vein) and got some drug to relax my uterus so I wouldn't have contractions. Then the dr. did an ultrasound to see the baby's postion and began pushing my belly hard to roll the baby around. Let's just say it was extremely painful and I feel like I've had my belly beaten and bruised. During the whole process they had to keep monitoring the baby's condition - ready to take me C-section at anytime if something went wrong. This was the scariest part for me - knowing at any moment something could go wrong and I'd have a baby 3 1/2 wks early.

Well the baby is a stubborn one - he's bum would not budge from my pelvic bone, so he wouldn't flip. But my dr. did get his feet up so he's in a frank breech postion now, making it able for me to deliver normal. So I go in again next week for another ultrasound to measure the baby's head. If he is the size of the girls my dr. is going to let me deliver regular - if he is any bigger, or feet first again - I will be a scheduled C-section.

I'm pretty scared still trying to process this all. I'm scared to try to deliver normal and have something go wrong and do an emergency C-section...but I will know more next week and I'm trying not to worry about it too much until I know more.

So I have been real tender and sore from all the pushing and pulling on my belly. Also sick the day after coming off that yucky drug that made me shaky and jittery. But today I'm feeling better and this baby isn't hurting me as much as the before - so that is welcoming :)

I'm just ready to be done with this stage and move on to having the baby. We're ready for him and can't wait!

Kam's first day of Preschool

Kamree was sad she wasn't getting to go to school like Lexi. She really wanted supplies, shoes, and clothes. But we are doing the same preschool that we did for Lexi and Kamree has been loving it!!

She is very grown up and ready for school. I asked her what she wants to learn at school and she said 'to read and write words'. She takes her backpack with sanitizer and scissors everyday, even though the supplies are already provided - she wants to be grown up though. She has share day that she is looking forward to tomorrow.

She is a lot like Lexi - they get frustrated when others aren't listening or obeying the teacher. She gets frustrated that others speak out of turn and don't raise their hand. She also tells me that she's the only one that clears her spot after snack and pushes her chair in...haha.

I think she is going to do really well because she is eager to learn and be grown up.

Her first day of school pictures were so cute with her posing that I had to post them all :) She has been awesome during the day with just her and Shelby. She enjoys being the older one around and is so helpful. Today she cleaned her room, made her and Lexi's bed, pick up her clothes, and emptied the dishwasher all because she wanted to and wasn't asked. She is so sweet and I love Sundays at church because she still lets me hold her on my lap. Kam has never really been a cuddler so we take advantage whenever she gives it!

**Lexi's first day of 2nd grade**

(urgh!! none of my pictures are uploading today)

Lexi started 2nd grade! I can't believe she is already this age - She is growing up too fast. She was very excited to start but nervous about knowing people in her class. She is liking her teacher and has her best friend Jaeli in her class so she's enjoying it so far. She was most excited about wearing her new school clothes and has even been open to wearing other things besides JEANS!! yes, I'm very excited...She's already worn 2 skirts and some cute shorts that aren't denim :)
She still does the cold lunch thing with a peanutbutter sandwich EVERY single day - one day she will do something different, it just might not be until high school :)
She has a hard time going to bed at night and is still slow at getting up in the morning, but she has definetly improved since last year.
We love this girl soo much - She is a good friend and caring for others. She is also a good example to her friends and sisters - we are so thankful to have her in our family!

Shelby's 3rd Birthday

Shelby turned 3 in August!! She is getting to be such a big girl - and just in time so she can help with her new baby brother. Shelby's birthday fell on a Sunday - and I had to speak in church, so it was kind of a stress weekend. But we celebrated on Sunday evening before I had to go to a fireside. And then we had our friends the Kessinger's over after the fireside for extra cake we had.

We didn't get too many photos because the battery was dead on our camara. (I guess maybe there is a little bit of truth to the whole '3rd kid doesn't have pictures like the 1st kid does' saying). Mike has some pictures on his I-phone, but I have yet to figure that thing out.

Shelby wanted a PINK birthday - she she had a pink/yellow cake, pink table cloth, pink wrapping paper, pink decor and balloons, and so on. She also wanted Tangled - she she had Tangled plates and a Tangled cup (which she loves).

She got a new church outfit, some pj's, and some toys. Grandma Burns and Grandma Dean sent her some $. She loved having her own 'cash' because she's always seen her older sisters carry it around. She carried that money with the birthday cards for over a week.

G&G Tondini sent her some princess dress up and G&G Pete Pete sent her pink popcorn (this was another pink item she had been asking for).

Shelby got booted from her room for the baby nursery - but she was ok with it because she wants to give everything to her brother. We have her in our guest room while we are trying to figure out what arrangement to do with bedrooms.

Shelby talks so cute - something about the way she says things. She also has quiet the personality - she laughs so easily and always says 'sorry' and 'thanks'. She loves to jump on the trampoline and actually holds her own real well with the big girls. She always picks her own clothes out and is very opinionated about what to wear. She's good at putting away her clothes as well, thanks to watching her older sisters.

She always says 'I love...' or 'I hate...' and is very much so in love with her daddy. She talks about him all the time and always says "I love daddy" thru out the day. She calls Kamree 'Kams' and it's seriously the cutest thing. She has to be part of everything going on and wants to go anywhere that anyone else is. We can't leave the house without her freaking out cuz she wants to go.

She also mixes her alphabet and numbers in a song - it's so cute that I just can't bring myself to teach her the correct way yet. I need to get a video up soon of her singing it.

"A B C D H and 9...10 little ghosts go boo!" She also counts to 10 - ALWAYS skipping the number 5, she just can't seem to squeeze that number in there :)

Watching her grow up so quick and learning so many new things, it makes me sad she is already 3. I'm glad to be having another baby to fill her shoes in a way because our family just isn't complete yet. Our girls are so excited for their baby brother to come home and will be very good helpers. Shelby is already to be a little mama to him. I hope their connection they have already will continue thru their life.

Nesting stage?...let's hope!

I hope this is the nexting stage I've been wating for! I finally got some things accomplished today - though my body is killing me. I finally stopped for the day - think I'll go do a bubble bath.

I move Shelby out of the baby room (She is turning 3 this Sunday and it makes me sad to think she is not going to be the baby anymore). We are unsure where we are placing her for now - so her bed is in the loft and her dresser in the girls room. She'll be sleeping on the floor or maybe with the girls for awhile til I get enough energy to do another room.

I went through all of Shelby's clothes and boxed up stuff - I'm thinking maybe it would of been easier having another girl b/c it could all stay out :)

I'm soo excited for this little boy to come though - The nursery is coming along so cute. Jeremy and Blair gave us Crew's old crib bedding, it's is adorable and is going perfect in the room! The crib is all made up - looking very inviting :) I painted the dresser and changing table black and they look wonderful. I cleaned out the closet in that room - it's had rubbermaids of stuff from 5 yrs ago when we moved in. I tried not to look into things too much and threw away all I could, I figured I haven't seen it in 5yrs, it couldn't possibly be of importance.

Now I just need to do decor in the room - the walls need stuff on them. I also want to cover the rocking chair and I need to make a new cover for the changing table and get the baskets on the shelves.

I've been exhausted and not able to do too much - so I try to do a little each day. I need to work on getting the baby's clothes put away now and getting Shelby's birthday going. I also have to speak in church on Sunday - got to work on that too.

I have a lot to catch up on blogging too still. We did California, went home to Preston for Rodeo, and the girls got a tramp from my mom. It's been the highlight for the last 2wks - they are loving it.

So when I find some time - I will try to get pictures up.

Six more weeks! :)

Pregnancy update

We went to California to visit Dan and Nicole's family - I will have photos up soon of all the fun. Nic and I are only a week apart with our pregnancies and both having little boys :) I'm 28 wks here - and have only kept on growing since.

This pregnancy has been different in many ways - the last couple weeks have been getting more draining. I have 10wks left and trying to hold strong and enjoy the moments. But I'm definitely feeling this 'big boy'. I have to take breaks and sit often, I'm beginning to do less and less. I'm tired and lacking energy - I'm not sure if it's the heat or just my body wearing out after 4 pregnancies.
I've been real nervous about the demand of a newborn again - I know it will be overwhelming, but we are getting more and more excited for D-day around here. I can't wait to hold this little boy - and his sisters are excited to have him arrive. Shelby has a real special bond with 'Baby Mack'. She chants 'Baby Mack, Baby Mack' all the time, it's cute. She loves to pat and touch my belly alot. She'll hug and kiss it - I know she will love him to pieces. She keeps asking when he will come out and I say 'after your birthday'. Now she's thinking her birthday will be associated with the baby - but we'll still have a month of waiting for him.
I seriously have the best husband ever. Sometimes I feel like I'm complaining alot, but he never cares. He listens to me and takes such great care of me. He is amazing and I don't know how I could do it without him - I think I'm getting a little too spoiled and I may have a hard time not receiving such pampering :)
*I was high on my glucose test so I was privileged enough to take the lovely 3hr test today. That's right, I drank the lovely drink again and was poked 4 times for blood. The only nice thing was sitting there for 3 1/2 hrs with nothing to do - kinda boring, but better than cleaning right? :) keeping fingers crossed that all is ok - I will die if I have gestational diabetes, I have never regulated a diet before and don't know if I could do it.

swimming!

That's right, Lexi has turned seven...I still can't believe how old she is. Part of me loves how old and grown up she is, and then part of me hates it because I get so sad that she's not my little baby anymore.

We have been super busy since her birthday - so I'm way late at posting some pics for her.

This year was the first year she didn't have a birthday party - she was a bit bummed at first, but soon started preparing for her 8th way in advance :)

-She will be a 2nd grader in the fall - I can't believe it. She loves school and is doing so well in it.

-She loves to read and for that I'm grateful - we've been picking up Junie B. Jones books and anything with pets on the cover at yard sales.

-We started swimming lessons this week - she is getting really good at her swimming. She really enjoys it and would love to do it everyday.

-She is a great big sister. She takes care of her sisters and they look up to her so much. She will be a gerat help with this little baby.

-She has a cute sense for fashion - I took her shopping one day and she came back with a handful of scarfs - I told her she could get them. Now she's put them with cute outfits as headbands and belts.

-We went and did mom/daughter pedicures for her birthday. It was her first pedi and she had a blast. We also went to hotel for a night here in town and went out for dinner and did swimming at the hotel. All the girls really enjoyed that. We then did brownies to sing happy birthday and she had her cousin Jenna stay the night.

I love our little Lexi - she is so sweet.

*She still loves to give me hugs and cuddle

* she loves to be 'grown up'

*she writes cute little journal entries

*I love that she shares things with me while I'm tucking her in bed at night

*She got a camara for her birthday - she loves to take pictures, they are pretty funny.
