Much to Blog about!!!

I have been real bad at blogging! I have traded one addiction for another :)

1.) For the last week, I have spent nearly everyday at Albertsons! There was soo many good deals with them doubling coupons that I just couldn't stop stocking up! So this picture here is only of one day. By the end of the week I had spent $26.00 and saved $251.00 ...yippee!!

toothpaste 30 cents

toothbrushes 25 cents

Quaker rice cakes free

huggies cloths 20 cents

soap (yes, 33 cents!)

shaving cream 14 cents

milk free

there was much much more as well. but now the sale if over, finally! :) so I can go about my somewhat normal life!

2.) Amber and her family are coming to spend the holiday weekend with us! We are soo very excited. The girls can't wait to see Mckoy!! (and neither can I! I love this little boy soo much). So we've been cleaning to get the house ready. So I put Lexi to work on the living room while I did the kitchen. Surprisingly, she had it all cleaned up. I was very impressed and so I turned the corner to go upstairs to get the vacuum and...TADA...the whole mess reappeared. Yes it was all piled nicely in the corner. So here is a picture of Lexi's pile. I guess at least its all together now in one spot, that makes in easier :)

3.) We've been into American Idol this season. I'm letting Lexi watch it every week b/c she loves singing and really enjoys watching the contestants. So the other day we were singing and messing around and she said "you're good, you're going to Hollywood!" So now we play these fun little spurts of American Idol. We get a stage and microphone and sing. At the end, we all make it to Hollywood....yes, even me! :) Which reminds me of a story. A couple of weeks ago Lexi and I were driving into Boise and we were rocking out to Taylor Swift (our favorite!). When the song was off, I sang it with out the music.

Lexi said "Mom dont sing that way, sing it like Taylor"

me: "What you don't think I sound good?"

lexi: "well you sound like your sick or something"

oh how sweet, even my little girl knows I cant sing! :) LOL

4.) Shelby is still making us confused. I can't tell you how many websites and books I've read trying to investigate this little girl!! So she was horrible for 2 weeks, making me wonder if she was REALLY allergic to dairy b/c I haven't given her anything differently. But now she's been fine for a week. Whatever!

She is playing with her feet all the time, she's getting to be fun and active. The girls love to make her laugh. She also loves splashing in the tub. I'm finally starting some baby food and rice cereal. The Dr. told me to wait til we find out whats going on with her, but she seems to be okay and enjoys the baby food. She'll be 6 months this weekend so more to come...

5.) Also it was Mike's Birthday yesterday. Unfortunately we were both not feeling well and were very tired. So we hit Golden Corral for dinner (which sucked b/c I had to pay $5 for Lexi, who eats nothing but rolls and croutons!). Then we came home and had the kids in bed by 7pm and we watched TV in bed. We'll celebrate more this weekend I'm sure! :)

Sick weekend

So I have been fighting this little 'mucus bugger' all weekend! Thursday I woke up with a tickly cough that bugged all day, I think it has never really left me since Christmas time. Friday and Saturday I was worse. Sunday there was no way I was gonna go to church hacking and blowing my nose for 3 hours, plus Shelby's now is sick. Monday I had Mike stay home to take care of the kids so I could rest. (there needs to be a 'mom-is-sick' fairy to visit our homes when us moms are down) Kirk told me to take Musinex, so Monday evening we went out to get some along with Tylenol PM. WOW!! I feel better. I got alot of the junk out (gross, i know) and slept well. I still don't feel the best, but hey...I got my house back to normal! yea :)

So my two-cents here is: try Musinex, it's the only medicine that has helped me in the last 5 days!! Now if we could just find out what is wrong with Shelby...

Good Night for Deals!

**I had a FABULOUS night of deals tonight!! **

Mike got off early today so we decided to hit the DI, since we did Goodwill last week and found goodies. So first thing I saw was these TWO chairs for $2 each!! I was so happy b/c I've been looking for these to go to the girls' desks. How great that there was two AND matching!? So then I hit the game isle....WOW! We walked away with 5 or 6 games (Taboo was the one I really wanted and it was there!!) and 2 puzzles for Lexi. She loves puzzles and we got GO FISH, which we played for over an hour tonight!! Then Mike got a bunch of illustrated B of M books, we have been trying to do better with doing the scriptures with the girls. So we left the DI spending $18. Then on to APPLEBEES...I had a gift card for $10 and we happened to hit Happy Hour. So we fed all 4 of us for only $7...that included the tip!

Then I have this lame cough (well I think its still here fr: Christmas) so we ran into KMart real quick to grab medicine and I struck gold. Mike was looking at the Tylenol PM which reminded me of my coupons...luckily I had them. So I whipped them out and got more of my Buddies Bars, medicine, and cough drops all for $5...my total would of been $13. Yippeee!

Thank you to Emily who has taught me a ton and influenced me soo much. I'm sure I over spent according to her :) But I know she is proud of me and excited along with me!! yah.

And to top if off...Mike surprised me with getting my favorite movie "Sweet Home Alabama".

So now I'm off to watch it, if Shelby allows us to that is! :)

Lexi (aka Taylor) video

So I had 4 way cute videos of Lexi singing to Taylor. I chose this one cuz Kamree is up there singing too...soo very cute. You can hear her if you listen closely. Lexi loves Taylor and her music. We watch her all the time on youtube. We are doing her concert FOR SURE if she ever comes close enough.

We have been soo busy lately! But I managed to take a few pics this weekend. Here is one of Shelby, note the clean tile in the background! Yes, this rarely happens...it looks so nice :)

Then here is Lexi looking like she's a teenager on the phone!! She called Amber the other day and I went to check on her and there she was laying on the stairs talking up a storm!! Then I came back minutes later and she had the phone open and on speaker, she thinks she is pretty dang cool on the phone! I've created a monster.

Then tonight Lexi says "mom, kam is soo cute right now. she has her hands in her pockets, can I take her picture?" So Lexi is the photographer here with Kam. Silly girls!! I swear this scowl is permanent on Kam's face lately.

(oh! by the way...on Sunday ...the sun was out AND it snowed!!! crazy. I should blog about that more often!!!)

Snow or Spring: these are your choices!

I've never been one to HATE or LOVE winter. This season has always just been a part of my life. I haven't minded it too much, though its never been my favorite. I like it b/c its my birthday, Christmas, it means hot chocolate, snuggling, family time, snow!, and that my husband is home more. I don't like that it is COLD!! I do not like to bundle the kids in big coats, then try to fit them into their carseats, and I haven't seen the SUN in FOREVER!! So after paying my OUTRAGEOUS gas bill today...I have decided: either freaking snow, or bring on spring-time baby!! (that or a move down south would be nice)

Trick Pony!!

My dad bought Kamree a spring horse for her bday...this has been the best gift! It's already been 2 1/2 months and the girls still love to ride it everyday. The song gets a little annoying, but it's so cute...so I was a good mom and replaced the batteries!

Kam's new thing is "Trick Pony!". We say "Trick Pony!" and she stands up and does these weird things...I can't believe I encourage it b/c surely she'll fall one of these days. She stands up on the back and raises her leg and continues to "ride" the pony.

Then here is a picture of our pretend playing today, can you guess? Yes, Lexi is Queen Melody. This is her thrown and she said "Queens are mean, so Im going to be a mean one". She made Kamree bring her crown to her on a step stool...while Lexi sat on her thrown, of course. (this is ALL her, I have no idea where she gets it from! - maybe too many princess movies)
