Shelby is 5 months!!

Time is really flying by...Shelbs is already 5 months old. She is a better baby and happy more now that we've found out she's allergic to dairy. A bottle has its pros, lets just say Mike's getting his share of feedings :).
Shelby squeals and babbles, its fun. Today she's been grabbing her toes...I love it. If you notice in the pictures, shes holding her binky. This is a game to her to take it out and put it back in. It can be frustrating cuz she drops it. I need to get a binky holder.
Shelby weighed in at a wopping 14pds. (this is nothing compared to her tank cousin Mckoy) :)
She is growing good though.
Thanks for listening to me brag about my children! That's what blogs are for right? :)

Pictures of the girls

Here is Lexi posing AGAIN! This is all she does: "mom get the camera and take a picture of me". She was trying on her new clothes I got at the Old Navy clearance sale.

And here is beautiful Kamree!! hehe
She went with Mike today to the office and this is what she wore! and to top it off...look at that hair! She is on this new kick "mom leave it long" referring to her hair. So in nursery yesterday she had it down, yes... in the FACE all day! :) silly girl
When Lexi was younger we'd say "no crying, no whining" and she'd always repeat it. Well now Kamree is saying it and has added one "no fighting". So she walks around saying "no fightn, no cryn, no whinin" she also says "i not cryn mom" when she wants something. Hillarious!

My BARGAINS for the week!

I hit good deals this week! Here are some pictures of my awesome stock!
I just love to look at my filled up closet. Makes me happy :)

I stocked up on Pampers Diapers and Wipes at Albertsons. The had a way good deal going on.

My diapers ended up being $3.30 a pack. I bought 9 packs of diapers (40 ct) . I got 6 things of wipes (231 count) for 89cents each! (Too bad there can't be deal like this for formula!)

I was on a high all week, very happy about my stash!

Then I hit some more good deals at K-Mart. I got most this stuff for free or under $1.

Thanks Emily for all the fun and helping me out!

WHAT? more presents??

My Dad came and stayed the weekend with us. He brought the girls their Christmas presents. They didn't know what to think getting presents again. It was fun...spreading Christmas out. Kam got a cute changing table and cradle for her babies. She loves baby stuff. Lexi got the petshop house she's been asking for. She only wanted two things for Christmas: petshop house and a star for our tree. She got them both, just in January! (hey I got a good deal on the star after Christmas!)

My Dad was telling us how his foot had been acting up again and was hurting. (he'd had surgery on it a while ago.) So Lexi offered a pedicure to make it feel better. This girl loves this stuff! So we got it all set up and Grandpa really enjoyed himself!! :)

My Dad made us dinner and it was yummy! Lexi wouldn't leave him alone for one second, resulting in her sleeping on the floor next to his bed!

We all went swimming on Saturday. It was fun for the girls to play in the pool.

We had a good time, but I am sure my Dad was ready to be back to his quiet house!

Not one but TWO snowmen!

Time to play in the snow!! I must be getting old b/c its just not as fun as when I was younger. By the time I get everyone ready and out the door, someone is cold and it's time to come in again. Plus the clean up afterwards...

Okay, maybe I am just lazy. hehe:)

Anyway Mike was awesome and took the girls out the other night after work. They made two snowmen...this is b/c Mike accidentally rolled the 2nd ball to be the same size as the first, and it was too heavy to lift...thus turning into the bottom to the 2nd snowman!

The girls loved it and ended up playing with the neighbors, of course turning into a snowball fight! They had a lot of fun!!
(my sisters friend made these way cute hats the girls have on!)

New Year updates!

First off, I must start by saying something I never say: "Thank you Wal-Mart!!". Now my story...I went into WalMart on Saturday to make a return. When looking at my license, the clerk informed me that it was EXPIRED, but she'd except it anyways cuz it wasn't yet 30 days! okay, expired? who ever knows this kinda stuff? I panic, she tells me I have 30 days til I have to take the written and driving test AGAIN! (that would be on Wednesday!)So guess what I did first thing Monday morning in a snow storm...yeppers took my little toosh right to the DMV. A very nice older gentleman helped me and said they don't make you redo the test unless its over a year expired...well isn't that nice to know? Oh well, at least I got it over and done with. (im bad for procrastinating)

Then the other night Kam tells Mike "lexi cut my hair". Yep, our first run in with the scissors and some hair. I thought we were in the clear for this. Luckily it was only a little bit and you can not really tell. So yes, no scissors in our house anymore! Mike has been telling me this for months but I kept saying Lexi was responsible enough.

Today Kam said "what in the world!" 3 times within 1 hour. it was so cute and I kept thinking "where did she hear this statement?" But she thinks she's the cutest and most clever little thing when she says it.
Then Lexi today puts a little sticker on the side of her nose. I asked why and she said"its my nose ring mom". UMM...okay? so I said "where did you get that idea?" and she said "remember that girl we saw at the store that had one?"
WOW...here we go. at least she's only 4 and not 14!
Shelby's update is that she's doing well and is content. We got the walker and jumper out and she loves sitting in them and looking around, plus the girls like to play with her in these toys. I finally got a bigger bottle and she's eating more in each sitting. Life is good for now, we'll see if this lasts! :)

Today I rearranged Lexi's room AGAIN! I put Kamree in there and moved all her clothes into the closet. Shelby is now in the nursery. I promise I'm not pregnant, I don't know what all this nesting is about. Maybe just an early itch for spring cleaning!
I'm hoping this arrangement will work. Shelby has been in with Lexi the last few nights and Lexi loved it, but I need to let Shelby cry w/o waking Lexi.
If it doesn't work for Kam and Lexi, then I'll just have to move Kam to the guest room...we'll see.
Well I haven't touched my room or the loft yet, stay tuned...there may be another update!! :)

***
Wow what a couple of weeks!! We have been soo busy and gone so much, it's nice to be back home.
So I rearrange Lexi's room before Christmas...well I guess I didn't do so well b/c Lexi fell off her bed and hit the corner of the cedar chest. She cut her chin pretty bad, so at 1am, Mike took her in and they had the gash glued shut and covered it with butterfly bandages...luckily no stitches. They said not to get it wet...wow perfect timing with Christmas and sledding. We managed to keep it pretty dry though.

We went to Preston for Christmas. We had so much fun at the Christmas Eve party with all the cousins. Santa came, Lexi sat on his lap just fine, but as you see in the pictures...Kamree not soo much! :) The girls opened their pj's...such a funny story: my mom bought the girls matching nightgowns back in October when she was here. Well Lexi decided to sneak them out of her shopping bag later that night and wear them. Lexi always gets what she wants, so my mom not only let her keep them, but bought another pair for her to open on Christmas Eve. Kam opens her pj's and through a fit saying "these not mine, these Lexi's!!" she then through the pj's down and insisted that they were Lexi's since she's seen Lexi wear them before. Kam wanted Lexi's new pj's. I took a little video of her, I'll try to post it later. Eventually Lexi put on her nightgown and Kamree realized they were matching and understood that there was two nightgowns!

The snow didn't stop falling all day on Christmas. It was so beautiful, we enjoyed playing outside in it. It was perfect for jumping into and making snowballs. And b/c of the snow, we ended up being snowed in to Preston with bad roads. We finally took off on Sunday...only to barely make it through Amer. Falls before they closed the roads! phew...that would of sucked to turn back around.

Then it was onto the Dean Reunion. Everyone was able to come except Dan's family...that's b/c Nicole had her baby Wednesday! hurray!!!!!! We had so much fun with everyone. There was a lot of people, but it's always so fun getting together. We had lots of good laughs, good food, and made good memories.

Kirk, Ashley, and JT came over for NYE. We had a wild crazy party...okay, not so much!:) But the boys played games while Ashley helped me rearrange the downstairs. (no, I'm not nesting...but it sure seems that way) She was awesome...we moved the two heaviest objects around, then they ended up in the same spot they were to begin with...oops.
I was thankful for her help though, plus she's way stronger than me, I wouldn't have been able to do it w/o her!!

P.S. To get silly putty out of hair, use olive oil. Yes, somehow Lexi managed to get it in her hair. Kamree I could understand, but Lexi...how the heck?
