ZOO time!

We went to this ZOO this weekend. Zeb and Bryson came down, and Terry's family. We had a great time and the weather was perfect. Bryson and Lexi were the BEST of friends all day. Bryson didn't want to leave her side. All the kids had a great time.

After the ZOO, we went over to Kelsie and Joe's for Bryson's birthday cupcakes. We were able to play with Keni, she is getting so big and fun. She is becoming active and Kam couldn't wait to hold and play with her.

Before leaving for the ZOO kam said "I think Keni's gonna love my shirt". This girl loves babies!!

I love this because Shelby is my cuddle baby and I absolutely LOVE it! Every time I hold her and rock her and her precious head lays on my shoulder...I just want the moment to last FOREVER. And I always wish I could stop time for just a few minutes.

No Leprechauns in this house!

Yesterday Mike had called to say he was coming home to change, that he was covered in sterilant (sp). When he got home, he was the color GREEN. I found it quite hilarious and fitting for it being St. Patty's day. I made him do a picture (as you can see he wasn't too thrilled) LOL. (He is going to kill me if he sees I blogged it.)

Lexi was excited to wear GREEN for school. She had on TWO green shirts, two necklaces, a green ring, a st. patty's day bow, and her GREEN ribbon medal from soccer. She was bummed she didn't have GREEN pants! :)

She said that Leprechauns had came to her classroom before her class had arrived. There was footprints everywhere and they were silly and turned their stuff upside down. Lexi thought it was so funny and couldn't stop laughing about it. She also said they 'shocked' people who didn't have green (it was more like a finger flick). She thought that was funny too.

So I thought it would be fun to do something similar here in our home. I started prepping the girls before bed "I wonder if any Leprechauns will come to our house? they are silly and like to play tricks" etc.... I thought it was a great idea. I'd have things turned upside down and chocolate coins everywhere.

But at 11:00 last night, Kam was still awake in bed. I laid by her and she started with the questions: "Mom, are those little green guys gonna come in our house? Will they get thru my window? Are they under my bed? Are they mean? Are they going to get me b/c I don't have green on?" etc...

Poor Kam was scared by 'little green people' coming into our home. I felt bad at this point. I let her sleep in our room and explained that they weren't REAL and it's all just pretend and for fun.

This all made me think how different our children can be. What is fun to one, maybe scary to another. But also how thankful I am to be a mother and the opportunity I have had to make my home a safe-haven for our children. That they feel safe and protected in our home. Even though sometimes that may mean we don't allow 'little green people' to enter our homes :) haha

Fun braclets

I came across these fun braclets on a blog (I can't remember which one). The are those armstrong-rubberband bracelets covered with cute fabric. I loved the idea and have made a few. They are super easy, cheap, and I can match them with my outfits! :)

Lexi's sprirt week

Our friends at church had this cute hair, so we tried it out. I'm not very good, I still need practice. But it turned out pretty cute and Lexi loved it. Lisa, I know you will be very proud of me :) haha

The backwards day and Crazy hair day she was excited about, until it got time to go to school, then she started getting a little nervous and self-conscious I think. Here are some pics of the Hair day.

I love this little girl. She's not so little anymore though :( She coming up on 6 and I can hardly believe it.

She is so helpful. She empties the dishwasher, picks up the living room, vaccums, makes her bed, puts the garbage out and sacks in, puts her clothes away, and takes care of her sisters.

She is so sweet and kind. Her favorite thing is hanging out as a family. She always wants us to all play together, or all watch a movie together.

She loves school and reading. Today I couldn't find the girls when I got out of the shower.

Then I find them on Kam's bed, Lexi reading to Kamree. I love these sweet little moments of being a mom.

She is growing up way too fast. But this is a really fun age and we are loving it.

Lexi said she wants me to be her teacher. I said I have to stay home and be a mom to her sisters. I told her she could do homeschool is she wanted. She said "how about school and then homeschool everyother day". I just laughed and said you can only do one. She said "then I'll just do homeschool on Saturdays then because it's my day off" haha :)

I pulled out pictures last night of Lexi as a baby. Shelby looks just like her.

I'm sad that memories are already starting to fade and blend together between the three girls.

My fabulous friend Emily let me cut some vinyl on her cricket last week. We found these way cute owls that I thought would be PERFECT with Shelby's bedding. It fun to finally have some stuff on the walls in her room. I think I've given up on painting her wall green, I'm just not motivated enough...it's alot of work. I still have some way cute trees I need to get up, and some little tweet birds. I think it's gonna be awesome! :)

Our ORCHARD

(Kam was a great helper for her Dad, but she got tired and cold...so she got comfy! :)

After living in our home for almost 4 years...we have finally gotten around to planting some PEACH trees!!!! Costco had a great price for them so we bought 5!! it will be beautiful when they are grown big and along our back fence. I can't wait to walk out and have a peach when I want to. We decided we can so much of them and the girls love them, that this is definetly the way to go (no more drives out to the orchard). I just wish we would of done this 4 years ago, then we'd be seening the fruits of our labor by now! :)
