This is the neat lobby of our hotel

We went to Salt Lake in June for Mike's niece's wedding. Dani and Michael were sealed in the Bountiful Temple. We had a great time with the whole Dean family. We stayed at a nice hotel in SLC and visited temple square in between the sealing and reception. Michael's family is Hawiian and they had a Luau for the luncheon. The women got up and danced then the men. Here are a few pics of Mike and his brothers. It was a lot of fun.

It was also our first road trip in our new van. It was VERY enjoyable and comfortable - we LOVE it :)!!!

4th of July fireworks

This is Shelby's first time really watching the fireworks and knowing whats going on. Her mouth kept opening in awe :)

Emily - Rosie - Lara - Me

My great friend Emily :)

We did the nampa fireworks with our friends. The Roetto's, The Berthelson's, and The Kessinger's. We had a lot of fun gabbing and watching the kids run around. The kids all had a great time playing. Wahoo!!!

the FoUrTh of jUlY!!!

Kelsie and her family came to stay with us over the 4th of July. We had a great time and the girls adored baby Keni. We hiked up to Table Rock - it ended up being almost 4miles round trip - way more than planned. We had a great time though. Shelby really likes to walk and not be held or hold hands...so she pretty much hiked most the trail. When we did hold her she fought and screamed. The older girls did great, Mike carried Kam the whole way down and she fell asleep. We were glad to have Kelsie and Joe invite us to hike with them. They are very outgoing and active - we are more home bodies. But it was fun to get out and the kids had a blast.
We then did fireworks at home - we found out that sparklers can be a bit dangerous. Joe lit one and it shot off a spark onto a blanket and put a hole in it. Not a big deal cuz I didn't love the blanket...but then mine did the same thing on my good blanket :( so while trying to stomp the tiny fire spark out, it got my toe. LAME sparklers :)!!!
The night of the 4th we saw huge fireworks real close to our house so we loaded the kids up and drove around. We found that they block off a cultasac and light them all night - looks like we know where we'll be going next year! :)

Riding a BIKE!

We spent some money this summer and bought a bike trailor, Mike a bike, and me a bike. We wanted to have something to do as a family in the evenings. Lexi was struggling with her little bike, so we found her a bigger one at a
yard sale and she rode it the very first day :)
Since then she can do it all on her own, she just wont start by herself. We need her to get over that fear of falling. We have had a good time - just wish it would cool down a bit at nights so we could go on rides more often. We also picked up a baby seat at a yard sale as well - so if we want to go on a real long ride, lexi can be in the trailor.

Mariners Tball!!!

Lexi played T-Ball for the first time this year. She loved it, and enjoyed it way more than soccer. We had a fun team: 6 of the 9 were friends of ours. It kept us busy with two games a week and it was incredibly hot - but lots of fun. I will try to get some video up of Lexi. She's a good little hitter - we got her a mitt and are working on her throwing. It has been a fun summer.

Just Dance!! - Lisa brought this fun Wii game and the girls LOVED it :)

Tayven - Treydon - Kamree - Taylee - Lexi - Shelby

It didn't take too long for Shelby to warm up to Lisa :)
Lisa and I have been friends since the 6th grade. I love this girl sooo much. She is still one of my best friends today. Even better: we love her husband and children as well :) haha
They came to visit us this last week, and even though it was short...we filled it with fun memories. I hope our friendship can continue and our children can become great friends as well.
We had lots of fun hanging out together, Lisa and I snuck in some shopping just the 2 of us - it was a lot of fun. Chet brought us some yummy steaks and bacon that the boys cooked up. We went to T-ball and also swimming. The kids played well together and loved playing the Wii.
The last night Taylee was crying - she said she was going to miss Lexi. It was sooo precious, she is a sweet little girl. We tried to keep her for the week, but it is her 5th bday this week!!! We can't wait to see them all again in July when we make a much overdue trip to Elko.
We love you guys! Thanks for making the sacrafice to come see us :)
*it's sad I don't have a picture of me and lisa :( I think she got one of us in our pjs!
*after all this blogging I think I'm finally caught up! for now atleast, we have our niece's wedding this weekend :)
